Pulling into school in a bright blue car, senior KyAnne Lawrence drives a 1992 GeoTracker.

Her grandparents gave her the car as a surprise in November for her birthday in January.

She said she enjoys the many features of her car, good and bad. She said it has exhaust leaks and no air conditioning.

“I think it represents me because my car has a lot of breakdowns and struggles, and as a senior I feel like I do too,” she said.

She said her grandparents bought the car for $750. Her car gets 35 mpg and it has an adjustable roof.

On her front license plate, she has her and her boyfriend’s name, Dylan, and the Browning heart to match his tattoo and license plate on his truck. The interior of the car is black and the same color blue as it is on the outside.

She said she didn’t have good first impression of the car, but she has grown to like it.

“At first I thought it was ugly, small and I hated the color of it because it’s an unusual blue, but now I absolutely love it because it’s tiny and fits into any parking space, and I think the blue makes it unique,” she said.
