As seniors gathered at the war memorial stadium on May 16th for graduation practice, students were given instructions on where to sit, when to walk, and how the ceremony would take place. While the practice helped prepare students for graduation, it also gave seniors time to reflect on one of the biggest milestones of their lives and what is ahead after high school.
The following week, seniors would return to Bryant High School to present Life impact Awards to teachers who made a difference during their high school years. The tradition encouraged students to reflect on the teachers, friendships and memories that shaped their overall experience here.
Senior and valedictorian David Salina’s reflected on how much he has changed since entering high school as a freshman. “I think freshman year, I was a lot more timid,” Salina’s said. “I was definitely not as involved or focused on school. But after my sophomore year, after I took a couple APs, I thought that I should challenge myself more, so that’s when I really started going for valedictorian , especially with wanting to go to a really good college.”
As graduation day nears closer and closer, seniors at Bryant High School who were once new to this school are now preparing to walk across the stage and toward whatever comes next.
