“Wonderland!” is an adaptation of the book “Through the Looking Glass” by Lewis Carroll. Featuring familiar characters such as the red and white kings and queens, “Wonderland!” is the fantastical tale of Alice and her adventures in the land on the other side of a mirror.
After stepping through a mirror in her home into an alternate reality, Alice (played by Madison Caldwell) discovers the book “Jabberwocky” and puzzles out how to read its nonsensical verses. When Alice then wanders into a sunny spring garden, Daisy, Tiger-Lilly and Rose (played by Jordan Dunn, Caroline Bock and Bethney Smith) become fascinated with the “moving flower.”
While further exploring the garden, Alice also meets the swift-footed red queen (Allie Hogancamp), who promises Alice a position as queen if she can make it to the eighth row in the ever-constant game of chess in Wonderland.
Starting out as a white pawn, Alice creeps across the board with the help of characters such as the train conductor and red and white light saber-wielding knights, all while being serenaded by Wonderlands mystical inhabitants.
“Everyone was so inspired by this year’s talent,” stage manager Tyler Potts said concerning what prompted the choice of “Wonderland!” as the senior play.
Each actor or actress was required to tryout for the play and were afterward assigned roles by drama teacher Rachel Arrington and choir director Julie White.

“I really think this is going to be the best play yet,” cast member Caroline Bock said. “It’s a lot of fun for the audience and the cast.”
