Managing money, dealing with costumer complaints and making sure everything is running smoothly, seniors Brenden Guffey and Zack Freeman work as Team Leaders at Chick-fil-A.
Working as a Team Member, Guffey started in Aug. 2010. He was later promoted to Team Leader.
“I got this job by hard dedication, being on time and staying late,” Guffey said.
Working from 4 pm to 11 pm, he has to learn to balance school and work.
“You have to find a happy medium. There really is no balancing. You just have to get stuff done,” Guffey said.
Applying at Chick-fil-A in June of 2011, Freeman got the job as a Team Member. He was recently promoted to Team Leader. Normally working four to five days a week from 3 p.m to close, he balances school and work by doing his homework in the morning before school.
“I like my job, but it involves a lot of cleaning,” Freeman said.
Guffey working as a Team Leader longer than Freeman, is paid $8.50 an hour, Freeman is paid $8 an hour. As seniors in high school, they both work at one position under Manager.
