Yesterday marked the start of Say Go College Week, a week set aside each year for college-bound high school seniors.
“Say Go College Week was initiated by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education to encourage high schools to encourage students to get involved.” counselor Steve Finley said. “Those particularly interested in moving on and going to college, going on to the next level.”
College Goal Sunday, Feb. 19th, is the end of Say Go College Week. Parents are encouraged to come with their children to complete the FAFSA forms and the Arkansas’ Department of Higher Education YOUniversal application for state aid.
“It’s just encouragement to come up here if they need one on one guidance in filling out the paperwork and applying for financial aid,” Finley said.
Volunteers from the Arkansas Department of Higher of Education, Arkansas Student Loan Authority, and representatives from the University of Arkansas of Little Rock will be available to assist students in the library at 2p.m.
