Buy vintage basketball gear Feb. 1

Next Friday, Feb. 1 at the home basketball game, the Boys Basketball Booster Club will sell “retro” basketball apparel to benefit the high school and middle school boys’ basketball teams.

The sale begins at 5 p.m. and the prices of the vintage gear range from $5 to $10.

Dan Cowart, an active member of the booster club, is helping with the organization of the sale.

“We put this together to raise money for the basketball team,” Cowart said. “There are some other guys and we try to raise money so the coach can pay for meals and other stuff. A manager was cleaning out closets and found these old uniforms. One of the coaches suggested that we sell them at the game, so we decided to do it on Alumni Night.”

The JV and Varsity teams will play Pine Bluff.
