    The Christmas tradition Secret Santa, assigned a friend or family member to give an anonymous gift, often leaves the “gifters” at a loss when considering what to get his assigned “giftee.” Identifying certain aspects of an individual’s character is critical when on the hunt for a fitting gift.

    Identifying common interests with the secret Santa recipient is an easy way to make a connection and gift a present that’s personal. Every day conversation can easily reveal simple interests that make great gifts, such as favorite foods, movies or quirky personality traits that make a person unique.

    “I love picking a gift that’s personal and funny,” junior Kameron Kimmins said. “It’s great to see people appreciate the things you get them.”

    When a “gifter” looking for an ideal secret Santa present for a unknown recipient who may be shy, then pay a visit to the dollar store and pick out an array of small, silly gifts to find at least one thing that may have some meaning to those who are shy or not as verbal about their interests.

    The popular tradition of secret Santa can be challenging, but by identifying unique preferences and hobbies is the key to finding an intimate, fitting gift.
