With his black uniform and earpiece on, junior Dakota Besancon works as an usher, box office cashier and concession cashier at Tinsletown Movie Theater in Benton.

As an usher, he rips tickets, directs customers to their movie and clean theaters. In the box office, he sells tickets, and as a concession cashier he sells, candy and popcorn.

“My dad got me the job. He’s a cop and works at the theater,” Besancon said.

Besancon has worked there for 3 months and his favorite part about the job is all the people he meets. His least favorite part is cleaning the theater.

“I only work on the weekend, but my schedule is never the same. Some days I work 1 p.m to 11 p.m and others I work 2 p.m to 8:30 p.m,” Besancon said.

Besancon said only working weekends makes it easy to school work and he doesn’t have trouble managing it. He likes his job and the people.

“One time my manager caught someone recording ‘Here Comes the Boom.’ We had to call the cops and my manager got $500 for catching them,” Besancon said.
