Bryant Beta Club Convention

Overview of Bryant’s Beta Club and their attendance at their convention

On Jan. 31 at the Hot Springs Convention Center, students in Beta Club got the opportunity to compete at the State Beta Convention. Sophomore Daniela Ibarra won 4th place for 10th grade Spanish and Junior Maricka Farr won 1st place for Senior High Speech.

The Beta Club is a group for students to interact and form relationships within their community. At the convention, different schools showed up to expand their knowledge and compete in oral competitions, visual arts and events that require linguistic knowledge.

“It was most definitely a memorable experience, and it helped me expand my skills on being able to socialize with other people,” junior Jenny Ngo said. “I would definitely recommend Beta Club to the students that are seeking ways to be able to be more involved with the community.”

Ngo, a secretary for the Beta Club, keeps track of attendance and what goes on at meetings. While at the convention, Ngo got to socialize with other students who enjoy playing a part in helping our community.

“It was definitely a great experience being able to meet so many people from other schools other than Bryant.” Ngo said.
