AFJROTC (Air Force Junior Reserve Training Corps) students participated in a group cleanup on Reynolds Road Sat. March 31st. Four times a year, 20-25 cadets from the AFJROTC program participate in the hour and a half cleanup and are required to attend. Saturday marked the last cleanup for the school year.
“[The cleanup] gives the students pride in their community and they feel that they can make a difference,” Lt. Col. Ricky Willis said.
Willis said that cadets organize, coordinate and execute activities, such as the Reynolds Road cleanup, for AFJROTC and work with fellow students and cadets to complete their activities. Willis said that the Arkansas Department of Public Works notifies the students in AFJROTC when to pick up trash on Reynolds Road.
