Girls earn fifth at Hendrix, boys eleventh

The boys and girls swim teams squared off against 18 and 21 team fields full of the best swim teams in the state this past Saturday at the Hendrix College meet.
The girl’s team turned in a fifth place performance while the boys finished 11.
The girls top performers were senior Alise Heavrin, who finished second in the 1-meter dive and junior Jinson Kang with a third place finish in both the 200 meter individual medley and the 100 meter butterfly.
The boy’s top finishers were freshman Justin Combs in fifth place and sophomore Scott Mead in eighth place, both competed in the diving part of the competition.

The swim meet at UALR scheduled for this Saturday has been moved to Feb. 4.
