The baseball team defeated its conference foe, the Cabot Panthers April 10, 14-2, on 13 hits. This victory came one day after the

team lost 13-8, to the Sheridan Yellow Jackets. Senior Ozzie Hurt believes the teams pregame meeting really was one thing that really helped the team rebound from this loss.

“Coach Bock gathered us all in the locker room and we talked what we could do different,” Hurt said “And we just went out more loose and relaxed and were able to play better.”

Winning pitcher, senior Tyler Nelson said he felt like the more relaxed and loose attitude of the team led to better

production at the plate.

“We hit the ball a lot better,” Nelson said “We hit it like we know we can and should and were able to get a quality win.”

The team plays the North Little Rock Charging Wildcats April 13.
