With the majority of teenagers gone for spring break, the week long vacation can be miserable for those stuck at home. However, there are many activities within reach that cost little to no money, and can be fun alone or with friends.
In Arkansas, there are plenty of places to go outdoors and experience nature. Hiking and camping are always popular, and can be fun with any number of people. Hiking is generally free, and is a great way to get to know others while exercising, something many give up on during spring break.
Another way to pass time is to get Netflix, which is only ten dollars a month to watch movies instantly and have them delivered to your house. Netflix can be streamed to devices such as iPads, Xbox’s and wii’s. It has a wide selection of movies in every genre, and can provide entertainment for hours.
Spring break is also an opportune time to make some money. Since most families will be vacationing, there are many open positions for housesitting; an easy, stress free job that requires nothing more than feeding pets and hanging out.
Spring break is a time to relax and do things you enjoy, and if you aren’t generally active, catching up on sleep is always an option that will refresh and energize.
