  • April 17The first period Social Studies classes gathered in Hornet Arena this morning to give teacher Ricky Manes the Teacher of the Year Award. Manes is a U.S History, AP Research, Civics and Holocaust & Human Behavior teacher. He was chosen out of the 13 and was given the award by administration.

Junior John Mark Junkins reads To Kill a Mockingbird in the library.  β€œ[Harper Lee] served as an activist, a progressivist and an icon,” Junkins said. β€œIn life she [was] a champion for equality, and in death she will serve as a model and a memory of how literature can impact society and how words can touch peoples hearts.”
