Sophomore Mitchell Reeves really cares about his style. You won’t catch Reeves dressed as a bum any day of the week.
“Good hygiene and style makes you more respected,” Reeves said. “And the girls love it.”
Reeves said he was about 13 when he started to care about the way he dressed.
“My style reflects my personality. You represent your tastes in the way you dress,” Reeves said. “I don’t change your style based on other peoples opinions.”
“I grew up in an urban neighborhood and that shows. My style is open and urban,” Reeves said.
“Open and urban is basically accepting new styles and incorporating them into what you wear,” Reeves said. “Not fratty or preppy but more along the lines of a skater, dancer or rapper.”
Sometimes dressing with style as boy can pose issues trying to not cross the masculinity line, but Reeves said that it isn’t a problem for him and guys shouldn’t worry about that.
“Everyone has their own style and if you have confidence in yourself it’ll come off that way,” Reeves said.
