Senior Football Players and Their College Offers
list of senior starters and their college offers
Seniors Cameron Murray, Gunnar Burks, Cole Fritschen and Sevonte Turner have been receiving college offers and now are having to make the tough choice of which college to sign with. This season’s successful 9-1 record as well as a playoff bid has helped the players receive offers from the following schools:
Cameron Murray: Oklahoma State University, University of Kansas, University of Arizona, Louisiana Tech University, Arkansas State University, North Texas University.
Gunnar Burks: Hendrix University and University of Arkansas Monticello
Cole Fritschen: Henderson State University, Southern Arkansas University, Arkansas Tech University, Ouachita Baptist University
Sevonte Turner: Ouachita Baptist University and Henderson State University
“If it wasn’t for this season and my teammates, I wouldn’t have any looks at all,” Burks said.
Cole Fritschen was not able to play last year because of a leg infection. He returned this year ready to play, and with the help of head football coach Paul Calley, he was able to receive recognition from colleges.
“This season’s success has helped me so much since I wasn’t able to play last year [because of] an infection in my leg,” Fritschen said. With the help of Coach Calley, he was able to get me out there to college coaches.”
The teamwork of this season has helped every player receive college recognition and has pushed them to to work harder.
“Something I have learned this season is to be thankful for what is coming for you in the future,” Fritschen said.
With the season coming to a close, the players are starting to narrow down their choices while considering their own needs.
“I’m narrowing down [my choices] by how they play my style of game,” Turner said.
“I plan on going wherever is better for my family financially and which visit I like the most,” Burks said.
“I plan to get more [offers] when my senior film is made. I’ve narrowed my list down to four,” Murray said.
“I plan to narrow down my choices by the school with the best pre-med program, and the school that shows the most interest in me. I am also accounting for how much money they give me,” Fritschen said.
