Jenkins wins CAP book design contest

1st place CAP book design by Peyton Jenkins

by Jake Knight.

Students had the opportunity to submit Career Action Plan (CAP) book cover designs. The contest was open to all students and designs had to be submitted by Dec. 9.

Senior Peyton Jenkins won first place for her CAP book design.

“I like design,” Jenkins said. “I was in advertising design class and I thought it would be fun.”

The design was an assignment in India Childress’ class and Jenkins said she worked on the design in her spare time after completing other projects. Jenkins used InDesign to create the cover and also took the picture of a student using a school computer.

“I saw CollegeBoard pop up on someone’s computer,” Jenkins said, “and I thought it would be good since the CAP book is about college.”
