Get to Know BHS 2015 Homecoming Maids

Blair Rolston, Writer

Homecoming is right around the corner and girls from each grade have been chosen as representations for homecoming. How well do you know your  homecoming maids?

Freshmen:

  • Morgan Kennedy; What do you do to set a good example for a younger sibling who looks up to you?
  • “I have a younger brother named Andrew, and I will make sure and stay away from any bad influences and keep my grades up. I always want to take all of my responsibilities seriously so I can assure  a good future for myself and set an example to him.”
  • Naomi Brady; If you could look in a mirror that shows you what’s happening anywhere, where would you look?
  •  “I would probably want to look in Africa or somewhere where people don’t have anything like we have, so I could help them or change that for them.”
  • Jasmin Martinez; Would you rather have: a strict teacher who taught well, or a fun teacher who taught you nothing?
  • “I think I would like a teacher that was strict that taught me well because he or she will imply some harsh rules, it’s still good to have a good education for the future.
  • Alyssa Sawyer; Who is your favorite Disney Princess, and why?
  • “ Belle from Beauty and the Beast. She saw the good in the Beast when everyone else only saw a monster.”

Sophomores:

  • Maddie Stephens; Who are your heroes?
  • “My heroes are my parents. They are always there for me, no matter what decision I make.”
  • Madison Treat; If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
  • ”The power to fly, so I didn’t have to pass my permit test.”
  • Tara Ricardo; What is your most valuable possession?
  • “My makeup. I like doing makeup and it’s my favorite thing to do.
  • Kyndle Kelly; If the principal asked, how you would improve the campus, what would you tell him?
  • Security. It’s so hard for such a big school. I would upgrade the cameras.

Juniors:

  • Bree Hood;  What’s your biggest fear, and what does it hold you back from?
  • “Failure. There are a lot of things I would do if I was confident I would succeed at it.”
  • Ellie Hooten; What makes you to try hard for your goals?
  • “My main goal is to get into the University of Arkansas and be in the marching band, but to get a scholarship I have to keep my grades up and try hard. Also, the satisfaction in short term goals.”
  • Hannah Harris; If you could go back in time to any date or place, when would you choose?
  •  “Probably go to the 1950s, just because I like the whole way life was back then.”
  • Erica Outlaw; If you were to become famous and successful, what would you want to be known for?
  • “For helping animals, because I’m obsessed with like every animal and want to be a professional in animal medication.”

Seniors:

  • Bobbie Jean Sandidge; If someone was to say something nice about you, what would make you feel the best?
  • “That I’m a light for Jesus.”
  • Blakelee Gray; If you were to give a 10 – minute speech to the the  school, what topic would you pick and why?
  • “About kindness, because you know there’s so much bullying, and not even just bullying  just doing what you know is right. Like sitting with someone who is alone at lunch.”
  • Allie Mack Atkinson; If you could go anywhere for a day, where would you want to go and why?
  •  “I’ve always wanted to go to Africa, so probably Africa so I could do missionary work.”
  • Hadley Balisterri; What is your dream job?
  • “I really want to be a speech pathologist, because I want to work with kids, but I don’t really want to be a teacher. With speech pathology, you can do anything, like a school setting or a hospital setting.”
  • Kynlee Cunningham; What is your inspiration in school?
  • “The only thing I’ve ever been somewhat exceptional at was school. I’ve tried a lot of things but school was the only thing I have been naturally good at. Neither of my parents went to college and they gave me the opportunity to get a higher education and I want to honor them through that.”
