As an employee of Shannon Hills Pharmacy, junior Shilah Sugg works as a cashier and stocks medicine.
“I like how we only have 11 people that work there, so we’re all close, like a family,” Suggs said.
She started working at the pharmacy last April.
To get the job, she said she had to type a resume and fill out an application when she was 15, and a few months later they called her in for an interview.
She hopes to be a pediatrician after college, and plans to attend Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. After finishing at ASU, she wants to go to UAMS.
“I would like to be a pediatrician because I enjoy working with children, and I’m good at math and science,” she said.
Suggs said she has made funny memories with the pharmacists.
“I don’t spell the names of medicines right sometimes, and they have fun joking with me about it because the way I spell it. It can be crazy,” she said.
She said that one of the things she enjoys most about working there is with her co-workers and employers.
“They always say that hiring me was one of the best choices they’ve made, and that makes me happy,” she said.
