Spring break, March 24-28, is a small glimpse at what summer will look like. Some students are going out of state, visiting the beach or family and some are just happy to stay at home and play video games all week.
Senior Breanna Sanders said she is excited to celebrate her birthday.
“I turn 18 on the 25th, so I’m super excited to hang out with my friends and family. I plan to either go shopping in Branson or Dallas,” Sanders said.
Sanders still has responsibilities outside of school with her softball team and her job at Sonic.
“After my birthday, it’s softball, work, softball, work and more softball. I not only have practice, but I also have a few hours at work. But I’m super pumped about our games that week. I have a home game on the 21st against Pine Bluff and an away game on the 29th and it’s our Beebe/Cabot tournament. I’m least excited about coming back because I have major senioritis. It’s going to be hard to get through these last few weeks, but I know my [softball] team is going to help make it all worth it.”
Senior Mauri Maxwell said she is excited about meeting new people in Florida.
“I’m going to Panama City Beach with my best friends, Audra [McAnally] and Tate [Reginelli]. We’re going to lie out every day on the beach and then we are going to go to Club Le Vela. I’m ready to meet new people and make new friends while I’m there. It’s going to be hard coming back to school after such a fun experience, but I’m excited to come back and be super tan before summer,” Maxwell said.
Junior Tanner Engledowl said he would spend time with his extended family in Dallas.
“For most of my break, I’m going to Dallas. My aunt has a house down there, so I’ll get to see all of my cousins, and I’m most excited about getting to see my other little sister that doesn’t live with me. I don’t get to see them [cousins] very often so I’m pretty excited. I also get to go out to eat almost every night so that should be fun,” Engledowl said.
