Whovians rejoice, as of this Nov. 23, “The Day of the Doctor” will arrive.
For those who do not know exactly what “The Day of the Doctor” is, it can best be explained as a loving tribute for the fans of this epic 50-year-old series, “Doctor Who.” Though not much is said about the special, the official synopsis states that this will be, “… the Doctors greatest adventure,” as well a vague detail about it revolving around a, “… murderous plot afoot in Elizabethan England.” And while the details are being kept in shadow, it can be certain that this special will forever affect the series as a whole.
As for the casting, both David Tennant and Matt Smith will take the roles of the Tenth and Eleventh Doctors respectively, as well as their companions played by Jenna Coleman and Billie Piper respectively. This should prove a great treat as the Tenth and Eleventh Doctors have never met within an episode.
It is suggested that if one isn’t a fan of Doctor Who, he should look into the series heavily before watching this, but as for the hardcore Whovians, they already have Nov. 23 burned into their minds. “Me and my family are going to watch the special together,” junior Whovian Conner Bumgarner said, and it can be assumed that this will be the case for many more of the shows devout fans.
