Performing in talent shows since the second grade, junior Kyle Harris has an unusual talent.
“I saw a talent show and I wanted to be in it,” Harris said. “But I realized I couldn’t sing, so I was like ‘Hey, I’ll do magic.’”
Harris said he went to a local shop, Mr. Magic to begin learning magic. He bought a couple of tricks and messed with them until I could do it with no problem.
“These days I buy most of my props on random Internet sites, and occasionally I go down to Mr. Magic and see what they have,” Harris said.
Harris said he couldn’t share too much information about the preparation of his shows because it is “secret.”
“There’s a lot of preparation before hand, but on the day of the show I rig it to where I can reset it within 10 minutes between shows,” Harris said.
When Harris isn’t working on his magic tricks, he spends his time making special effects videos on Youtube.
Harris said he doesn’t plan to do magic for the rest of his life but he might do some parties after high school for extra money.
