Sophomore Victoria Outlaw works as a waitress at her family’s business, Outlaw’s Cowboy Café.
“I get peoples’ orders. I can’t cook food because I’m under 18,” Outlaw said. “So I make ice cream and I bring people’s food to them.”
Her father, Bobby Outlaw, decided to open a family business, four weeks ago, to honor his father’s death. Bobby also owns a day care called Pinky Ponky Day Care.
Earning minimum wage, Victoria Outlaw works every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3 p.m to 7 p.m. With her dad and her grandma.
Outlaw said she loves working with her family as well as making money.
“It is actually fun working with family because you can do whatever you want and it’s fun because I’m with my grandma and dad,” she said.
