The Alien vs. Cowboys Pep Rally took place Sept. 12 in preparation for the football game between Bryant and Parkview. The planning that led up to the pep rally took weeks of effort from student senate, the cheer team, dance team, step team and legacy band in order to make the event a success.

”As the cheer team, we usually take a week to prepare our routine and come up with it. Normally the captains come up with the stunt, the dance, and if we’re going to do tumbling or jumps, then we pick out the song,” senior cheer captain Lainey Wallace said.

Alma Mater, the speech said at each pep rally was recited soon after the band had played one of their many songs. The cheer team displayed their stunts, holding the flyers over their heads. Code Blue performed fast-paced dances to viral songs. The new additions that joined the step team, accompanied Code Blue during the routine. The cheer team showcased their stunt sequence, holding a flyer above each of the base’s heads.
