October 5, 2020
Although the homecoming football game planned between Bryant and Little Rock Central Fri. Oct. 9 has been canceled, spirit week will continue this week from Oct. 5 through Oct. 9.
Student Senate reassured students that spirit week is still on through an Instagram post shared Oct. 3.
“Although the homecoming game has been postponed, spirit week is still happening!!!! Don’t forget to dress up to show your support for our football team,” the post caption reads.
Students who dress up throughout the week may also post a picture on their Instagram stories, tag Student Senate and Swarm and earn the chance to be featured on a Swarm Instagram story and win a free Chick-fil-A gift card.
According to Student Senate and Swarm, spirit week theme days are as follows:
On “Wild Wild Milkyway Monday,” students may dress up as a cowboy or an alien, or combine the two and dress as a space cowboy. They are encouraged to bring out their best galaxy boots and cowboy hats and dress like they’re “straight outta the wild west.”
“Disney Plus Tuesday” allows students to dress as characters from their favorite Disney Plus shows or films, whether it be Disney princesses, villains or superheroes.
For “Squad Day Wednesday,” students can dress as their favorite squads with friends. These characters may come from a TV series, movie or pop culture.
“Take A Break Thursday” is a day for students to wind down and relax. They may dress down, wearing the comfiest clothes they own.
Finally, “212 Day” allows students to support Bryant coaches and players by imitating their looks. Students may also show school spirit by wearing blue and white.
The homecoming game and ceremony will now take place Fri. Oct. 23 at the home football game against Cabot.
