Saline County Library Renovates Systems
Changes include new mobile app, improved catalogs

The Saline County Library temporarily shut down their catalog and account access this week to prepare for the launch of a new library system Dec.12.
The library has been preparing to rejoin the Mid-Arkansas Regional Library system for four months after leaving years ago. The library system includes libraries from the Cleveland, Dallas, Grant and Malvern-Hot Spring counties.
Benefits of the new system include patrons being able to see books from all the library catalogs and the ability to request book delivery to a preferred location.
The Saline County Library will also be launching a new app. Users will be able to hold and check out materials, access accounts, search the card catalog, view library information and scan barcodes on books to see if they are available.
