Long hours, early mornings and last minute costumes: it is Senior Week. From Monday, April 25 to Saturday, April 30, four teams will compete in the battle of the school year. There will be relay races, water games and the famous dance competition. The red, green, purple and yellow teams are ready to fight in order to be named Senior Week champions. The games will take place every day during first and second lunch, while the dance competition will be held on Saturday, April 30.

Senior Allie Mack Atkinson, vice president and the leader of purple team, is thrilled to be a part this important week.

“[I am looking forward to] growing close to new people and getting to share one last memory with everyone before we all go our separate ways,” Atkinson said.

The purple team made it clear that their main focus is to make lasting memories and to become closer as friends.

“[I am excited], because it is a chance to have fun and really get to know people,” purple team member Niguel Valley said. “It’s exciting to be on a team that cares for everyone.”

Yellow team is positive that their teammates’ talents will be an extensive help throughout the week.

“[Our] strongest asset will be our alliance with the Engineering and Band department, because a lot of members on our team are Engineering and Band students,” treasurer Sunny Harshdeep said. “We are expected to perform our best in trivia and door decorations.”

Yellow team member AJ Wilming, is most eager to participate in the dress up days.

“I’m excited to see all of the different costumes and ideas people have,” Wilming said.

Green team leader and secretary Gracen Caddy is looking forward to spending long hours with her teammates.

“The most memorable part about Senior Week is going to be hanging out with everyone at the late-night practices and getting to meet so many new faces and personalities,” Caddy said.

She is hoping to get more out of the week than being named the first place team.

“It’s going to be the best week of our senior year, so [the memories] will stick with us for a while,” Caddy said.

Daniel Zamora is confident in his fellow teammates on the green team. He is looking forward to the team performing in the dance competition.

“I think we will perform the strongest in the dance, because we have a lot of creative and fun people,” Zamora said. “We’re going to have a little bit of everything in our dance, and I think the green team will really show out.”

Reporter-historian and red team leader Alexis Landers is eager to make memories with her teammates while spending time at practices.

“I’m excited to make up our dance for red team and see the other [dances],” Landers said.

Red team member Amber McFadden is looking forward to participating in the senior week activities with her teammates.

“I’m most excited for the teamwork that my team will have to partake in in order to win games and choreograph a great dance,” McFadden said.
