As summer gets closer, all students can think about is summer vacation. Even if you can’t travel out of state, there are still fun things to do here at home in Arkansas.

  1. Drive through the Safari in Gentry, AR
  2. Hike Pinnacle Mountain
  3. Visit Magic Springs and Crystal Falls Theme Park in Hot Springs
  4. Hammock in parks or other public areas like Mills Park Trail in Bryant, Lost Valley Trail in Kingston, Walker Park in Fayetteville, Petit Jean Mountain, or even in your own yard.
  5. Go to Petit Jean State Park to hike the Cedar Falls or Seven Hollows trail
  6. Visit Downtown Hot Springs and tour the bathhouses and wax museum
  7. Hunt for diamonds at the Murfreesboro Crater of Diamonds State Park
  8. Walk through the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville (or any of the museums all across Arkansas)
  9. Shop and walk at the Outlets of Little Rock
  10. Visit the River Market in downtown Little Rock for food, shopping or the farmer’s market on Saturday mornings
