In Student Senate, students get involved in helping the community and their student body. From visiting nursing home residents to organizing Homecoming, Student Senate is known for promoting acts of kindness, building friendships and getting students involved with the school.

Students have also invested time volunteering at the humane society, visiting a nursing home and interacting with the children at the local elementary schools.

Any student interested in joining Student Senate can turn in an application until Fri., March 11. Applicants should explain why they would like to join Student Senate, list any other volunteer work they have done and list other extracurricular activities. Also, teacher references are required to apply for Student Senate. It is recommended to ask a teacher ahead of time in order to be sure they want to be a reference.  All sophomores and juniors are encouraged to apply.
