BHS is hosting a Girls in STEM night on Monday, April 3 from 5:30-7:00 in the Multipurpose Room.

We’ll have several different types of robots and coding games as well as demonstrations using our 3D printer and much more. We’ll also have some great door prizes!

Try-outs

If you are interested in trying out for the Bryant High School Tennis team, for next fall, please go to Google Classroom and join the Bryant team, for next fall, please go to Google Classroom and join the Bryant Hornet Tennis Team Fall 2017 class. The code is khw6b47 . Please fill out the survey with your information. Tryouts will be for Girls- May 2 & 4; and for Boys –May 9 & 11 at the Bryant High School Tennis Courts 3:30-5:30pm.  This will be for students entering the 9th-12 grades next year.

You will need to have a completed Physical. The school physicals will be Saturday, April 29. Boys are to leave from the

middle school parking lot at 8:30 AM with Coach Posey and the 9 th grade boys basketball team. The girls are to leave at 11:00 AM with the soccer and golf teams. Be at least 10 minutes early.

If you do not go this day, you will need to get an approved form and have your doctor fill it out. This must be done by the tryout dates.  Please email  [email protected]. If you have any questions.

Meetings/Information

ALL 9-11 students MUST turn in a SIGNED verification form with the courses they are requesting to have next year!!

RETURN them to your 4th period teachers. 4th period teachers will return them to the Counselor’s Office.

It’s time to start picking up your PROM applications! This week swing by either Mrs. Hare’s Room (2-17) or Mr. Crisco’s Room (10-422) to get your prom application and ask any questions! Starting on April 10th tickets will be going on sale! Check the announcements later this week for more details!

Best Buddies meeting Wednesday, April 5 at 7:40am in Love auditorium to discuss the upcoming Friendship Walk and next year’s officers.

Student Senate applications for the 2017-2018 school year are now available! The application can be viewed at the following link. The deadline to apply is Monday, April 17th, 2017.

Attention all students:  Teachers of Tomorrow has invited colleges to come to the Multipurpose Room to talk to our students about a college degree in education. PTC, UALR, UCA, and Henderson will come and answer our questions.  It is after school on April 11 from 3:45-4:30.  Come by and bring any questions you might have. ALL Parents and Students are welcome.  Don’t miss this Think Tank opportunity.

There will be no ASL Club meeting this week. We will meet Wednesday, April 12th as normal.

A representative from UA-Fayetteville will be in the Cafeteria Monday (4-3) during lunch.

A representative from the UCA/ATU ROTC program will be in the Cafeteria (4/5) during lunch.

Student Senate will be sponsoring the Pennies for Patients fundraiser for the Children’s Leukemia and Lymphoma Society beginning on Monday and running through April 14th. Student Senate members will be bringing around change boxes to teachers today and students should donate their loose change to their 4th period class box. The winning class will receive a cookie and punch party! Please help us raise money and awareness for a great organization.

FBLA Members attending State Conference next Monday & Tuesday (April 3-4), we will have a MANDATORY meeting this Thursday morning (March 30) at 7:40 am in 10-410 (Lile/Forga room).

***IT’S TIME FOR THE BATTLE OF THE CLASSES FOOD DRIVE!***

Help Student Senate re-stock the campus food pantry and win awesome prizes for your grade! Bring boxed meals and snacks to your English teachers and fill the boxes for your grade. The grade who brings the most food will be declared the winner and will receive the mystery prize!! Bring items such as:

-Macaroni and Cheese

-Ravioli

-Peanut Butter Crackers

-Tuna, Chicken salad, etc.

-Soup

-Hamburger Helper

-Granola Bars

-Instant potatoes

-Ramen noodles

If you signed up for a concurrent eligible class, you need to apply to UALR and/or PTC and complete the paperwork by May 1. Reps from both schools will be on campus during Parent/ Teachers Conferences to assist.

SENIORS

Internship students – Remember to check your email every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. Also, remember the one-on-one meetings are taking place over the next few weeks. Several of you have not made it to your assigned meeting.

Remember to check Naviance for local scholarships! There are a few new ones that have been added recently. You can also get paper copies in the counselor’s office.
