Bruno Mars Concert

970209 BRUNO MARS TOUR ANNOUNCE HPH 940x295pxWith hits like “Grenade,” “Just the Way You Are” and “Treasure,” Bruno Mars is a well-known pop artist.

On Feb 2, Mars played during the XLVIII Super Bowl half-time show with special guest, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, to kick-start his “Moonshine Jungle Tour.” The Super Bowl had 115 million viewers and during the game, Mars was mentioned in 2.3 million tweets.

Mars’ “Moonshine Jungle Tour” starts April 18 and continues through Sept. 6 with over 50 shows. One of his stops is Verizon Arena in No. Little Rock June 10 at 8 p.m. Ticket prices range from $66 to $100. Most of the set involves songs from his newest album, Unorthodox Jukebox.

Senior Matti Botti is one of the XLVIII Super Bowl viewers excited to see Bruno Mars in June.

“I have a huge crush on Bruno Mars. His songs are so catchy, and he is so talented. He has such a beautiful, soft voice.” Botti said. “I loved his Super Bowl performance. Once he came out on the drums, I was even more in love with him. When The Red Hot Chili Peppers came one stage, it was weird to me, but Mars whole performance got me so pumped for his show in June, and I instantly begged my dad for tickets.”

Since Botti’s birthday is in June, she asked her parents to get her Mars’ tickets for her birthday.

“I turn 18 two days after the show so my parents got me tickets for my birthday. My parents love Bruno Mars so I’m going with them. It will be a highlight of my summer before going to college.”
