Varsity boys and girls fall short of North Little Rock

By Ashton Eley

Jan 24

In the first quarter, the girls held on, only trailing 6-14.
North Little Rock seemed to be on a shooting spree for the rest of the game and won the game, 15-54.
The girls team is now 11-9 overall and 3-3 in conference.

After senior Brantley Cozart passed to senior Quinten Motto for a shot off the baseline with a little over a minute to go, the team was only trailing one point, 45-46. The team was unable to nail another shot as NLR took on a 45-52 lead.
Sophomore Anthony Black was fouled on his way to the basket with 21 seconds left. He made his first shot. When his second bounced off the rim, Motto rebounded and put the ball back up, 48-52. But that would be the last goal for the team, as NLR held the lead, 45-53

Score: 45-53
