Baseball:

The Diamond Hornets travelled to St. Petersburg, FL to compete in the Tampa Bay Spring Training Classic and played 7 games, finishing the week at 6-1, only falling to Maple Grove, MN 7-6. The team then faced the Pine Bluff Zebras last night, winning easily, 7-1. The Diamond Hornets are now 11-1 overall, and are ranked 35th in the nation by CBS Sports.

Softball:

The Lady Diamond Hornets took on Harmony Grove on Tuesday and were shut down, only managing two hits on route to a 7-2 loss. The team is now 7-5 on the season.

Track:

The Hornets and Lady Hornets travelled to Cabot to compete in the Wal-Mart Invitational on Tuesday. The boys team finished fifth overall with 54 points, lead by senior Charles Terry’s victory in the 800-meter race. The girls team finished second to only the home team overall with 100 points. Senior Haley Hood lead the team with 30.5 points with wins in the 300-meter hurdles and the high jump competition. Their next meet is set in Russellville today.
